Hi, I'm Maayan. Professionally, I lead engineering teams at mission-driven organizations, most recently as VP of Engineering at Crux Climate, and before that at UtilityAPI, Flatiron Health, and Google. I studied computer science and robotics at Carnegie Mellon.
Outside of work, I make pottery (a pottery-tracking app is one of the personal projects I'm hoping to get up on this site soon), I'm an e-bike enthusiast with strong opinions about bike lanes and urban mobility, I have two kids, and I love to cook and read sci-fi and fantasy.
This summer I'm at Recurse Center, getting back into coding and poking around under the hood of LLMs.
